I have a question about my profile comment. The comment I posted is basically just a sample rewritten in my own words. Thankfully, I’ve received two offers, but both were from people who live far away, so it’s been difficult to meet them. I’m thinking of updating my comment. I feel like I should simply write about what I think, but I’m worried it might miss the point. Could you tell me what kinds of comments other people are using?

Do you mean you want to change your profile so you can receive offers from people who live nearby?
If so, writing something like “I’m looking for someone nearby” could eliminate the chance of receiving offers from people farther away. If you don’t receive any offers from nearby people and also stop getting offers from those farther away, you might end up with no offers at all.
So I feel it really depends on how strongly you want to prioritize that point.
If you simply want to update your profile for unrelated reasons, I think it’s best to write something that makes people curious, like:
“What kind of person is she?”
There used to be women who posted things like, “I went to such-and-such a place, tripped, and fell—blah, blah, blah…” and made you think:
“Wait, is this a diary?”
“Interesting.”
“What kind of person is she?”
Those kinds of profiles were intriguing, although they seemed to be updated pretty frequently（笑）. You don’t see many like that these days.
That said, I feel like 90% of it ultimately comes down to the photos＞＜

Because of my work, I rarely travel for business and live a fairly local lifestyle, so I’ve never met anyone from far away before.
Also, when I invite a woman to meet, I’m expected to cover her actual transportation costs in addition to the usual travel allowance, so I’m unable to make an offer due to budget constraints.
Given that, the fact that you’ve received two offers probably means you’re a very appealing person.
How about saying something like, “For dates involving long-distance travel, I’ll cover half of the actual transportation costs”?
