People say it helps to update your profile comments or calendar when you’re not getting any offers, but even after updating them three or four times a day, I’m seeing no results at all. The number of likes on my selfies isn’t increasing either. Is it pretty difficult unless you’re a new member…?

I’m Saito, a column writer♪ You want offers as quickly as possible, right? Leaving aside whether it’s good or bad, as Maezawa said, why not start by putting some real effort into your selfies? The photos of Papuwa-san featured in Mack-san’s columns are really lovely, and I’m sure there are men who have sent offers after seeing them. (Not that you need to post anything erotic.) > Your appearance—especially your facial features—and your overall presentation can be created in all kinds of ways. As Mack-san says, once the offers start coming in, what happens next is up to your own efforts.

I’m だて◎ゆめ, a male member. When you update your comment, it stays displayed on the homepage for about a week, so it seems like a good way to promote yourself. Even if you update it three or four times a day, I doubt male members are looking at the member page all day, so I feel like they probably just skip over the comments. I think simply keeping your profile on the homepage is just about the right amount of promotion.

Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office here—I’ll answer as well. I wouldn’t recommend rewriting your profile comments several times a day. I think about once a week is just right. This isn’t a dating app, so rather than uploading selfies, it’s better to upload photos taken properly with a camera, like a DSLR. Photos taken with a smartphone may be fine if they’re natural, unedited snapshots. But photos where you feel you look especially flattering can actually have the opposite effect on men. If you’re looking for photo ideas, Mac has written columns for Universe, including one featuring photos of Papuwa. Looking at those photos, the ones taken at Universe really pale in comparison. I think they’re great photos because you can really see how long Papuwa’s legs are. If you could upload a selfie like that, it might make some difference. But in this case, rather than uploading a new selfie yourself, it may be more effective to ask the staff, “Could you change my photo to this one?” That’s just an example, but I think the best approach is to use photos that clearly show your most attractive features. That said, many men make their decisions based on looks, so you may simply have to wait patiently.

I’m a male member named Seattle. Among those options, I’d say updating your profile comment is the best approach. I mainly look at the new members shown on the homepage, and updating your comment brings you back to the top page.
