I’ve never been told, “I like being intimate while a man chokes me.”
Even if a woman suddenly said that to me, I’d probably reply, “Oh, really? But that’s dangerous, so let’s not do that.” (笑)

Then she might respond, “Okay, I understand. I’ll help you.”
Or perhaps, “But let’s not do that this time.”
Either way, I think the most important thing is to prioritize safety and enjoy your time together.

I think most men would be surprised.
But that doesn’t mean they’ll dislike you, so I think you can just tell him honestly.
Something like, “I like being choked,” should be fine.
That said, most men don’t know how to do it properly, so please explain the right way to him.
(If he doesn’t know anything, he may just squeeze your neck normally. Haha.)
He may be awkward at first, but as you meet several more times, he might get better at it. Or he may decide that it’s not for him and that choking is off the table.
I think either outcome is perfectly fine.

I’m a new member in my 30s.
I think you can get a general sense of whether a man leans more dominant or submissive after being intimate with him once.
If I felt he leaned dominant, I don’t think he’d usually be put off if I told him directly, and there’s a reasonable chance he’d be open to it.
Personally, I’d be happy to oblige if someone made that kind of request, haha.
