Sorry, but it made me laugh—it sounded like an innocent middle schooler making their case. LOL

If you don’t like it, you can always leave the dating club. Plenty of people successfully build mutually beneficial relationships.

> Most women are only going along with it reluctantly because they need the money.
Hmm, that’s a difficult way to put it.
Depending on how you define “reluctantly,” you could say that’s true. But if it really is, then it leads to the nonsensical argument that most workers are only working reluctantly for money, so employment should be banned.
Some people genuinely enjoy their work, after all.
Also, “most people” in this context refers to an abstract group with no concrete reality behind it—it’s like talking about people who don’t actually exist anywhere. Unless you can provide specific statistics showing who thinks this way, it’s questionable whether most people really are reluctant. It may simply be something the questioner assumes.
At Universe Club, both registration and withdrawal are entirely voluntary. Even after registering and going on a date, the relationship is left to the two individuals.
I assume the two of you discuss things together, agree on the terms, and choose to continue seeing each other.
If you mean that people are being forced, however, that’s a different matter. Coercion is completely unacceptable.

This is Joe, your columnist.
What surprises Joe most is how often the issue of protection comes up on this anonymous message board. Honestly, I can’t understand why some men refuse to use protection even when the woman asks them to.
That said, I’m against making condom use an official rule. I believe the fewer rules, the better.
Women members, including the person asking this question, may not know this, but women’s profiles often include the phrase, “She is prepared.” I imagine many male members interpret that as, “I’m willing to do whatever it takes for money.” I do too. But I also believe that firmly refusing anything against your wishes—even if it means not receiving any money—is another form of being prepared.
Rather than asking the club to handle everything, please protect yourself. The “self-improvement” that women members often talk about isn’t just about pursuing outward beauty; I think it also means being able to handle situations like this properly.
Sorry if I sound condescending. I reacted strongly to the phrase “I’m reluctantly going along with it.”
I hope your relationship is wonderful and peaceful.
