Thank you for your question!
I’m Kida, the site representative, and I’ll answer it.
Originally, I had no intention of immediately removing former members’ eligibility to answer questions. However, since the rules needed to be written rather strictly, they currently state:
“Since membership is a requirement for answering questions, an account may be suspended after withdrawal.”
There are probably others who have continued answering questions after leaving as well, so we’ll revise the terms. If more than a year has passed since someone withdrew, their information may have become outdated, so we may revoke their eligibility to answer.
That aside,
There’s no doubt that Rula is an excellent answerer, but I don’t think that means the other answerers are inferior.
When I watch rugby, I sometimes see someone and think, “Is this person actually contributing??” But they probably have some role to play and are contributing in their own way.
I have even greater respect for people who are willing to reveal not only the pleasant things, but also the ugly and vulnerable sides of people here in this Q&A forum.
Rula happens to be a gentleman by nature, which makes him exceptional. But there’s nothing wrong with the others being a little more horny and devious.
That’s just being human.

Thank you, questioner and Papa-katsu Gentleman! I’m so happy(^^♪
That’s right. I really like this section too, so I’m considering writing a few columns and continuing as an answerer in the column writer category.
Looking forward to your continued support☆

I’m Maezawa from the Corporate Planning Office, and I’ll weigh in as well.
I don’t think granting special privileges would be a good idea, since it would seem unfair unless there were clear criteria for what qualifies someone for that special status.
That said, it might work if members could continue answering questions after leaving, with Universe retaining their personal information for that purpose—in other words, they wouldn’t pay membership fees, but would remain equivalent to members in the system.
At this point, though, I’m still trying to figure out what the best approach would be.
