Maezawa here with an answer.
As far as I know, everything for which we have permission to publish is posted, so I believe it’s true that there are a lot of positive reviews.
Perhaps you’re asking whether the reviews we’re not allowed to publish contain more negative feedback. However, there are just as many positive reviews that we aren’t given permission to publish, so looking at things overall, I don’t think the ratio of positive to negative reviews among the published ones differs significantly from the ratio across all reviews, including those that aren’t published.
Unfortunately, publishing a survey without permission would violate the principles of good faith and fair dealing, so I can only share those for which we have permission. That said, I’ve selected a few surveys with low ratings.
× “He had absolutely no sense of personal cleanliness. Since I consider this a date and make an effort to meet in clean, presentable clothes, I would appreciate it if he could at least dress in clothes without dust or wrinkles.”
× “Apparently, he said, ‘I had some time left over from a previous woman’s cancellation, and her membership renewal deadline was approaching, so it would have been a waste not to make an offer.’ He also said, ‘The club calls me sincere because of my appearance, but I’m the exact opposite on the inside—completely rotten.’ That left me with the impression that he wasn’t someone who knew how to choose his words. Perhaps because he was in his 30s, I didn’t get the impression of a relaxed, gentlemanly man.”
× “He seemed like a kind man, but one thing bothered me. He openly told me about my rank within the club and what kind of introduction was written about me on my profile page. I wasn’t happy to hear that, and I thought it was something he really didn’t need to mention.”
× “We had agreed to meet at [time], but I arrived at [earlier time]. Fortunately, the gentleman happened to arrive early as well, so we were able to start ahead of schedule. I do think it’s necessary to communicate the terms subtly in advance. The club benefits from making the arrangement, but I believe the most important thing is for both the member and me to leave satisfied.
When I explained my terms, he said they were too high, and we parted after the meal without him even paying my transportation costs. The fact that it was a setup at an izakaya in Roppongi already gave me a bad feeling, but having my time taken up for no compensation was nothing but a disadvantage. I hope the club will respond more flexibly in the future. If they aren’t able to properly support me, I’m going to have to reconsider continuing with the club.”
× “He hadn’t made a reservation or decided what we would do that day, so he wasn’t quite as smooth as I’d hoped, haha. He spoke so quickly that it was difficult to understand him, and he was also rude to the restaurant staff, which left me feeling somewhat tired as well.
I don’t think he was a bad person, but the time we spent together felt much longer than it actually was, haha.”
× “I had dinner with someone who didn’t pay my transportation costs until I reminded him for the first time. The way he handed it to me, in front of people at the station, was not exactly smooth either. He wasn’t someone I wanted to meet a second time.”
× “We met in the evening, but there was no dinner. We only had unlimited drinks at a hotel’s complimentary lounge. The man was wearing what looked like a tracksuit, and his breath and body odor were very strong, which made me realize I need to be careful about that myself.
During the adult relationship (intimate), he spent nearly an hour hitting and pinching my body and repeatedly pulling and pinching my nipples hard. I told him as sweetly as I could that it hurt, but he said, ‘You like it when it hurts, don’t you?’ and wouldn’t stop.
I was extremely hungry, and drinking alcohol on an empty stomach while my body was hurting, so I told him it was nearly the last train and that I was going home. But he said, ‘What? There are still 50 minutes left. Let’s do it one more time. I’m not letting you go.’
While we were drinking, he did nothing but badmouth female members he had previously met through the club. It was disappointing to think that he might talk about me the same way.
I thought it would be helpful to have information about the men as well, such as whether there would be no meal or what their preferences were regarding an adult relationship (intimate). It’s difficult to adjust to a man’s preferences just because you receive an allowance. It was a night that completely destroyed my confidence.”
(Note: Showing someone their member page, telling them what it says, or disclosing their class is against the rules. If this is discovered, some form of penalty may be imposed.
Failing to provide transportation costs is also against the rules. Usually, the man says he simply forgot and pays later, but it is still a violation.)
● To cleanse the palate, here’s one positive survey as well.
“When I first met him, I was extremely nervous. I wondered if he was a quiet person, or if he was disappointed to meet me.
But he was very kind, considerate, gentlemanly, and wonderful. When I met him a second time, he was just as kind. He took me to lovely restaurants and told me stories about things I could never have experienced in my life before—it was like a dream.
He’s someone who makes me truly glad that I registered with Universe Club and had the chance to meet him (^ ^)
Thank you very much (^ ^)”
I’d be happy to see even more feedback like this.
