I’m Rula, a male member of UC and the new salon.
Of course, men do have their hairstyle preferences, so there’s a chance he might think, “I liked the hairstyle in her profile photo better…”
That said, speaking for myself, whether or not the hairstyle is to my taste, the fact that she went to the salon specifically to prepare for our date makes an incredibly good impression.
A woman who wasn’t taking the date seriously wouldn’t go out of her way to get her hair done for it…
So yes, by all means, go to the salon.
*That said, avoid making a drastic change—like going from long hair to a pixie cut, or from black hair to blonde（笑）.*

I don’t think that would necessarily happen. The real question is how much you change it.
If the new style makes you look even more charming, he might say, “That hairstyle suits you better!” But if it doesn’t live up to his expectations, you might get a “???,” haha.

The man who liked your hairstyle in the photo may have been disappointed, but I don’t think you need to worry about it that much.
Either way, if a man would lose interest just because you changed your hairstyle, it probably wouldn’t have lasted long even if you had started seeing each other.
