I’m thinking of inviting her to lunch at a hotel. Should I book a room at the same time?
I feel it would be a smoother way to invite her, but if she turns me down, I’d be wasting the money. More than that, I think I’d feel pretty empty knowing all that preparation had gone to waste.
Do you all usually book a room before meeting?

I’d generally thought it was better not to book a room— even with a Type C arrangement, the odds are only about 50%, so unless you’re exceptionally confident in yourself, it’s basically a gamble. (Laughs.)
I hadn’t considered that you could call a delivery escort if the woman turned you down.
If you’re going to have a Plan B in place like that, then booking the room in advance does seem like the smarter move.

If a room isn’t an option, you could always call a delivery service to fill the gap.
It’s a pretty awful answer, but at least as a basic rule of etiquette, you should never take it out on the woman you’re seeing or pressure her into anything.

I’m a male member based in Seattle.
When making an offer to someone who’s a C or D type, I imagine many people book a room in advance.
I mostly meet B types, so I don’t book a room. Even with a C type, I choose a location with a love hotel nearby just in case.
