Maezawa from the executive office here. Male members can change their assigned branch to whichever branch they prefer. So even if your activity area changes, you can stay with your current branch if you like it. Conversely, even if your activity area stays the same, you can switch to another branch. The benefits of matching your activity area with your branch would be that it’s easier to get input from the staff who interviewed you, and you’re more likely to receive recommendations for women they interviewed. Even if the branch you like is different from your activity area, there can still be advantages. Since you’ll be assisted by a branch that knows you well, you may not have to explain every little detail—you can expect treatment like, “Same as last time, right?” It’s similar to ordering “the usual” at a familiar restaurant and having your preferred dish brought out. > If I change branches, will my current representative change to someone at the new branch? Normally, I believe that would be the case, but I’m having trouble imagining a situation where you change your registered branch while keeping the same representative. (I had assumed it was standard to choose your representative from among the staff at your registered branch.)
