If I asked a woman I’ve been seeing as a dinner-only papa for over 30 meetings across three years for an intimate relationship now, would it end things between us? I met her early on, when I was new to this, and—embarrassingly—she was so beautiful that I couldn’t bring myself to suggest going to a hotel, and things just ended up staying that way. Now that I’m used to dating clubs, I regularly go to hotels with the other women, but… I’ve been with around 60 women over the past three years, and she’s still the most beautiful of them all. So even if we remained dinner-only, it would be a real shame to lose our relationship altogether. Maybe I should just leave things as they are… I’m not sure. Incidentally, it seems we genuinely get along very well as dinner companions—on our date days, she always takes the whole day off work even though I never ask her to, and she spends Christmas Eve dinner with me every year, among other indirect “proof.” I also give her about the same allowance as I would for going to a hotel. I’m hardly concerned about the cost.
