I applied to The Salon and was rejected. Will I also be rejected at Universe Club?

A liked the salon herself, so she decided to recommend it to a friend. She contacted her salon representative to say she wanted to introduce a friend, and her friend actually went in for an interview. In the end, her friend was not accepted by the salon. Apparently, the salon did not suggest Universe Club to her by saying, “How about Universe?” A showed me a photo of her friend, and objectively speaking, she had the looks to qualify for at least the Platinum rank. Based on this, I suspect that women who aren’t accepted by the salon may no longer be routinely referred to Universe Club. That said, I’m not involved in running the salon, so I can’t say for certain. As for you, I think you have a good chance of being accepted by Universe Club, so why not give it a try?

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. Hmm, I’m afraid I have to be blunt. The fact that this question came up means there’s also a possibility that you may not pass the Universe screening. The reason is that, originally, if we felt someone didn’t meet SALON’s standards but did meet Universe’s standards, we would ask whether they wanted to register with Universe instead. I haven’t confirmed whether this is still the case, so if things are the same as before, it may be difficult. That said, SALON has become busier lately, so it’s possible they no longer bring this up. If that’s the case, you should be able to register with Universe, so I think it would be worth trying their interview.

From what I’ve heard, the standards at The Salon are supposedly quite high. I’m not a member there, though, so I don’t know exactly what level they’re looking for. If you pass the interview at Universe Club, it might be worth asking why you weren’t accepted by The Salon. I don’t know whether they’ll tell you, but Universe Club is surprisingly helpful, so they may give you a vague explanation. It’s important to use that feedback to improve going forward.
