What brands of clothes do female members wear on dates?

If you’re talking about the interview, I don’t think it will leave a bad impression. However, there aren’t that many options, and most of the clothes are a little on the sexy side, so you might be surprised if you were planning to borrow something for the interview. Some men are also interested in what kind of clothes a woman came wearing herself, so in addition to photos in the loaner clothes, they may include photos of the clothes she arrived in. For that reason, I think it’s best to avoid coming in jeans. Many men don’t really care about clothes, but every now and then you hear someone say they were disappointed when they planned to take a woman to a nice restaurant, only for her to show up for the date in jeans and sneakers. Once you’ve gotten to know each other, jeans may be fine, but for a first meeting, a skirt or dress seems to make a better impression. The issue is probably the combination of jeans, sneakers, and a backpack. Even if they’re inexpensive, I recommend buying a skirt or dress, shoes, and a handbag. Something like a 3,000-yen skirt or dress, 3,000-yen shoes, and a 5,000-yen bag should be fine. Incidentally, apparently experienced women deliberately avoid wearing brand-name items on dates. That way, the men are more likely to buy things for them. And even after the relationship becomes long-term, they apparently only wear things bought by that particular man. (They supposedly keep careful track of who bought what so they don’t get confused.) It’s quite a scary world. (笑)

I’m Rura, a male member of UC and a member of the new salon. For affordable clothes suitable for dates through a dating club, you might want to check out online retailers such as Marui. With a budget of around ¥10,000 for an outfit, you should be able to put together a date-appropriate look. Shoes might cost around ¥5,000 as well. I don’t think you need to prepare anything from a luxury brand.

Male member here, from Seattle. Honestly, I don’t really pay attention to clothes, haha—mostly just her face. I think GAP or GU would be perfectly fine. Just avoid distressed jeans; something chic from GAP or GU would look more simple and cute.
