Black members seem to get benefits that aren’t available to members in other tiers, though the details appear to vary slightly depending on the branch they belong to. In any case, you won’t really benefit from those perks unless you actively make use of them.
The one truly exclusive perk is being able to make offers to Black female members. So, in my opinion, it’s best to upgrade when you come across a Black woman you absolutely want to meet.

The best way to decide is to consider how many women you’d want to make an offer to right now who are in the Black category.
If there are two or more, I’d recommend upgrading to Black. If there’s only one—or no one at the moment—staying with Platinum should be fine.
I don’t think the added value of the Black service is as significant as you might expect. It’s probably more accurate to think of Black’s value as giving you access to offers from women in the Black category.
At Universe, you can still have a great experience even at the Standard level.
