Leaf’s answers from a woman’s perspective are really helpful, aren’t they?
It’s especially valuable to hear from a female member rather than a female staff member.
I feel like there have been more male-member contributors lately, but couldn’t we get more female-member contributors as well?
Could the staff perhaps reach out to women who might be willing to appear in the columns?
And, of course, other female members with plenty of experience, too.

As for the Q&A section, I don’t think we generally invited people to participate ourselves. There wouldn’t be much point unless people who actually wanted to write signed up. (I don’t think anyone would write anything if they were only participating reluctantly.)
We do have a fair number of female respondents, but some people are registered as respondents and have never answered a single question.
When I suggested that perhaps we should remove those people for the time being, I was told:
“They should be able to answer whenever they want, since it’s up to them whether they write or not.”
That reasoning didn’t make much sense to me, but that’s how things have been handled.
Still, I sometimes wonder whether people who haven’t answered even once are likely to answer in the future.
I’d be happy to see more female members participating as respondents, but our policy is that people who want to write can do so, and everyone is free not to write. So please apply voluntarily.
