In a previous question, I saw a response from someone involved stating that not all women in the Black class are introduced to the salon, but some are. Wouldn’t that be tantamount to a breach of contract with Black members? To begin with, the reason we pay the highest membership fee of ¥300,000 to become Black members is that we’re supposed to be able to receive offers from the carefully selected, top-tier women who pass the interview.

I’m Maezawa from the CEO’s office, and I’ll answer this. When you hear “referral,” it may sound as though the woman can register with SALON right away, but in reality, it’s simply an invitation to apply. It’s more like, “We have something new like this available as well.” As a result, some women have been invited to interview but were ultimately rejected. (With a referral, I imagine registration would be guaranteed.) This is also only a temporary measure while SALON is still not widely known. Once its profile grows, applications directly to SALON will be sufficient, and there will be no need to invite anyone. Even if a woman registers with SALON, it’s entirely up to her whether she leaves Universe. We are not doing anything that narrows the options available to Universe’s Black members. It’s too early to assume that Black-level women will simply move over to SALON. If women are voluntarily leaving Universe because they happened to meet a good man through SALON, the same thing will happen if other companies create something similar to SALON. To prevent that, I would be glad if you could show that Universe’s Black members are in no way inferior to SALON’s male members. If all of Universe’s members are gentlemanly and wonderful men, women won’t need to leave Universe, will they?
