About “I Like You”

There seem to be more questions about “I Like You” lately, which suggests it’s becoming quite widely used. I think that’s a good trend. Regarding “I Like You”: when viewing a man’s profile, I once accidentally tapped “I Like You” on someone I had no intention of sending it to. I’m very sorry about that. Tapping it again removes it, but in that case, how does it appear to the man? Likewise, it’s possible to accidentally double-tap the profile of a man I do want to send it to, remove the “I Like You” I had already sent, and then tap it again. Can he tell in detail that it was sent and then immediately canceled, or does the trace of the “I Like You” simply disappear without him knowing? Please let me know.
