I’m Kida, the representative of Universe Group, and I’ll answer this question. I think middle school students can do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), and there are probably some out there who are doing it. At a dating club, we verify your identity by having you show and photocopy a driver’s license or passport. But if a girl brought in her 19-year-old sister’s driver’s license, I’d be worried about whether I’d notice. Actually, I wouldn’t be able to. I’m not really sure what a mature-looking middle school student looks like. If someone from Morning Musume or AKB48 came in for an interview, how would I know they were in middle school just by looking at them? But wait! If you’re going to do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), do it at your own risk through Twitter or a papa-katsu app. With an app, it might not be impossible to somehow use an ID image taken from somewhere else. At Universe, if you look particularly young, they may ask your Chinese zodiac sign, your graduation year, or ask you to provide another form of ID, which is a hassle. Please don’t come if you’re a middle school student (T_T)

I’ll answer this one too. A middle schooler!? You’re pretty precocious... But middle schoolers shouldn’t be looking at sites like this!! Enjoy the sweet, bittersweet romance that only comes with being young!!

Maezawa here. It’s unclear what exactly you’re asking since the subject is omitted, but if you’re asking whether you can register with Universe: Middle school students cannot register. Women must be at least 18 and no longer attending high school. Men must be at least 20. Both are subject to screening, so registration is not guaranteed.
