Both can be cured with medication.
If you test positive, tell your papa. If you don’t, what’s known as a ping-pong infection can occur: you get cured with medication, but your papa—unaware that he’s infected—has sex with you while still carrying it, and you become reinfected.
If it’s not an STI and is simply pharyngitis, you don’t have to tell him as long as you’ve recovered before your next date with your papa.
Whether you catch an STI is partly a matter of luck, so as long as you’re having sex, there’s always a possibility.
There’s no need to panic if you get chlamydia or gonorrhea, since they’re curable. However, the earlier you start taking medication, the easier they are to treat, so early detection and treatment are best.
If left untreated, your symptoms may worsen, or the bacteria may spread to other areas, making it harder to cure.
