I’m currently registered with this club, but I’m also considering joining another one. Could you recommend any good dating clubs?

This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but when I was a student, I used to enter photography contests practically just to stir things up. There were contests sponsored by film manufacturers like Kodak and Fujifilm, but for some reason, whenever I entered a film-related contest, I could never win. (Even though I could place in other contests.) I used to wonder why. Years later, I happened to be reading a camera magazine and came across what was basically a roundtable discussion among people who had served as photography contest judges. They said things like: “People used to submit photos taken on film from a different manufacturer, even though the contest was sponsored by a film company, right?” “Yep, they did.” “No matter how good the photo was, you couldn’t select it.” “Even if the rules said any film was acceptable, you still couldn’t choose it.” That was quite a shock. (I had been submitting photos taken with my preferred film, which happened to be from a different manufacturer than the sponsor.) This Q&A site doesn’t impose any such restrictions either, but I sometimes think, well, that’s just how adult relationships work. By the way, when Yozakura-san said, “If you’re interested in BDSM, I recommend the following two options,” I thought that was a very mature response indeed. (Though they are literally an adult.)

While I was helping a woman from Universe Club get offers, I suggested looking into other dating clubs and told her about the clubs listed on PATOLO. At the time, it seemed that none of them in Kansai offered either online interviews or in-person interviews, so she ultimately didn’t register and decided to have her photos retaken at Universe instead. There may not be many clubs that are as easygoing as Universe. I can’t speak for women, but men can become so sought-after by women through Universe alone that they don’t have enough time to meet everyone. The same may be true for popular women. Women can also live like men without relying on allowances or papa-katsu, so I worry that pursuing papa-katsu and dating clubs too single-mindedly could narrow their view of the possibilities in their own lives.

I only know Universe Club and PATOLO, so I’m really interested in this question. Quite a few women I’ve met through introductions have told me, “Besides Universe Club, I’m also registered with Aoyama Platinum,” but their website looks so outdated that I’ve never felt like signing up. This may be out of the blue, but I wish there were some way to encourage more women to answer questions here. Maybe incentives just for female respondents or something like that? I thought about the women I’d call “super monthly arrangements,” but I haven’t had a new one in the past three years. My longest-running monthly arrangement, Ace, is someone I met through Universe Club. She’s still in her early twenties, too, and she’s such a strong favorite that I haven’t been able to maintain a long-term arrangement with anyone else. To the person who asked the question: you might want to consider men’s relaxation salons or lounges as well. I was about to write that men’s relaxation salons are a treasure trove of encounters, but I’ve heard there have been a number of arrests recently, so in the end, Universe Club may be the safest recommendation. I’ve met women through men’s relaxation salons, lounges, and cabaret clubs who went on to become papa-katsu partners, and some of those relationships are still continuing. However, every woman I’ve been seeing for four or five years is someone I met through Universe Club.

It’s Fullerene! I don’t know whether you’re a man or a woman, so I’ll give an answer that applies either way. Before finding Universe, I tried two other dating clubs. However, I’m no longer active with either of them. The reason is simple: Universe has the largest pool of members. The other clubs feel more handmade and heavily dependent on the individual staff members. Universe, on the other hand, makes an effort to standardize its profiles while still preserving each staff member’s personality. That’s reassuring if a woman moves and switches to a different branch. What I mean by “reassuring” is that, when I look at a profile, I can get a sense of the best- and worst-case scenarios: “With this profile, she’ll probably be somewhere around this level at best and that level at worst.” That range differs depending on the club, doesn’t it? It’s one of the things that reflects each club’s personality. Since the gap between the profile and reality doesn’t vary as much between Universe’s branches—though there is still some variation—I find their profiles reliable. When you look at PATOLO, you’ll also see women registered through clubs other than Universe, as well as women who signed up directly. However, since their profile formats differ, you naturally end up taking what’s written there with a slight grain of salt... I suppose these differences add up and lead to the gap in membership numbers. I tend to look for people over a fairly wide area, so I think a large platform like Universe suits me. Conversely, the reasons to register with another club might be more niche, such as being limited to a particular region, age group, body type, or preference. The club may be smaller, but if you happen to meet someone who’s a perfect match or get along well with the staff, it could lead to a good encounter. Try looking for the place that suits you best. I’m still seeing someone I met through one of the clubs I mentioned earlier, too. It must have been seven or eight years ago now. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Setting Maezawa-san and the other staff aside, the people gathered here are the ones who don’t know about that, so even before getting into “that’s just what adult relationships are like,” it’s simply a question aimed at the wrong audience. Sure, I’m grateful to Universe Club, but if there’s somewhere better, I’ll go there. But I really don’t get reverse offers anymore. Whatever happened to the flow we used to have, where there’d be several reverse offers from questioners to respondents every year? Still, I’m grateful that I got to enjoy some good experiences, even if only for a while, and I appreciate this Q&A site for that. I plan to keep volunteering here a little longer. I like Maezawa-san as a person, too. I haven’t counted, but I’ve probably met and dated—had intimate relationships with—just under 20 women through reverse offers here. About half continued for a while, but when I count them now, there are only two left. A lot of them were “intense” in various ways. Now that the war has started, who knows what the future holds. Gold prices rose, and the money I’d put into ETFs made profits in the hundreds of millions of yen, so I’ve already recouped what I spent on papa-katsu over the past few years. I’m also starting to feel like I’ve done pretty much everything there is to do in papa-katsu. How am I supposed to spend the rest of my life? P.S. The girl who was supposed to stay over tonight had to go home because of a family matter, so it’s my first night sleeping alone in a while. We did have a quick intimate encounter, though. At lunchtime, I invited two girls over for a threesome. Life is pretty fun, I guess. I just thought of this: the questioner should try finding a scout somewhere and talking to them. Scouts introduce girls to dating clubs, and then receive a fixed percentage whenever an offer comes in afterward. Since they work with multiple clubs, they’ll introduce her to the club where she’s most likely to receive offers. As for how to meet scouts, it’s through apps and social media. A scout’s job is basically to look for girls, so they sometimes join apps pretending to be male members. At the first meeting, they might say, “Actually, I scout for Universe Club. It’s definitely better than using the app—what do you think?” They’re what people commonly call “agents.” I think women who immediately ignore a man on social media or an app once they realize he’s an agent—thinking, “Oh, never mind”—are missing out.
