I don’t think you need to worry about it too much.
It’s quite common for the person making the offer to ask about your preferences in women, but of course, some people may give an answer that doesn’t match the woman they contacted.
Some people only make offers to women who fit their stated preferences, while others—like me—may make an offer because they’re drawn to qualities beyond just looks or type.

An older man I met for the first time told me, “I like Porsches.”
I’m completely human, and it’s not like I looked Porsche-like in photos. Why did he make me an offer? I have absolutely nothing to do with Porsches.
Something like that?
The simplest explanation is that he was just talking about his preferences and meant it purely as conversation. It may not have had anything to do with the questioner.
But with no context besides this, there could be countless possible answers to “Why?” depending on what we assume.
