It’s not quite that extreme, but the motivation does change.
Every now and then, I think, “I’m getting a little bored,” and feel like switching up my monthly arrangements.
Then I get excited by new offers in the meantime, regain that sense of anticipation, and enjoy being with someone new.
That’s basically my papa-katsu life: repeating the cycle of being left by someone even though things were going really well, making new offers, and struggling to find the next person.
It isn’t flat and stable, which is probably what makes it interesting.

It wasn’t because it became too much of a hassle. When COVID hit, work got busier too, so I ended things with everyone for a while.
Recently, I’ve started enjoying papa-katsu again.
The key is not to overthink things.

If all you’re doing is papa-katsu that’s troublesome enough to become a burden, then of course it’ll start feeling like a hassle. I’ve met girls I thought were a lot of work too, and eventually I ended things because it became too much.
That said, I was intimate with my ace last night, and she’s about as cute as they come. She kept saying, “Kiss me,” the whole time—even while we were together. With a girl like that by your side, there’s no way it could ever feel like a burden.
