When someone is forcibly removed from the service, are they notified before their membership is terminated? Or do they suddenly lose access to their account page and the site without knowing what happened?

Maezawa here. For male members, when we follow a warning process, we tell them things like, “If you do the same thing again, you’ll be permanently banned,” or “There won’t be another warning.” So in those cases, I believe they understand what’s at stake. Even so, we inform them that they’re being permanently banned, and then proceed with the ban. For female members, we tell them during the interview that canceling their first date on the day of the date will result in a permanent ban, so I think they understand. However, since we don’t always use the specific words “permanent ban” at the time, there may be cases where the message doesn’t fully get across. That said, we occasionally receive questions like, “Have I been banned? I can’t log in.” In many cases, it seems to be one of the following: ① They simply can’t log in because they’ve entered the wrong password. (If you contact us, we can issue a new password.) ② We couldn’t get in touch with them, so their account has merely been placed in a status equivalent to withdrawal. (They can return if they contact us.) ③ It happened due to some kind of administrative error. (Contact us and we’ll look into it.) So if you’re unable to log in, please contact us. Also, from a man’s perspective, I understand thinking, “Canceling on the day of the date is unacceptable.” But when I think about the women who are permanently banned despite genuinely coming down with influenza or having some other unavoidable reason, I do feel a little sorry for them. At the moment, we permanently ban them without exception. But if they have a doctor’s note or something else proving that the situation was genuine, I can’t help thinking that a permanent ban might not always be necessary. For second dates and beyond, however, there is already a history of meeting up, so if someone has influenza, we consider it unavoidable and they won’t be permanently banned. (Their rating will still go down, though.)
