I never thought someone who represents the absolute bottom of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) would be on a dating club site. If there really are male members like that, they clearly don’t understand what these clubs are about. (If they really exist, I wish they’d leave.)
A ¥30,000 gift sounds like something a high school or college student would give. Actually, even gifts between college students can cost ¥50,000 or more—or even over ¥100,000.

Ideally, you want a high allowance with minimal stress, but that’s rare. It’s really about finding a balance between the allowance and the stress involved.
If both people feel they click, then whether to pursue the relationship is for them to decide.
As for your question, plenty of people give relatively inexpensive gifts. The value of a gift isn’t determined by its price alone.

I’ve never bought them presents or anything. What more do they need when I’m already giving them money on a pay-per-meeting basis? I’ll return the favor if I get chocolates for Valentine’s Day, though.
