With anti-aging becoming more common, some people look younger than they used to, don’t they? Namihei from *Sazae-san* is 54, after all.
Personally, I think people start joining the ranks of “old men” and “old women” around their late 30s. I try not to become one of those cringe-worthy old guys, lol.
If everyone starts looking too young, it’ll be exactly what Prime Minister Kishida wants: the government will set the elderly age at 70 and make us pay tons of taxes, lol.

In that case, we’re talking about a timeline where the Sun, now 4.6 billion years old, is still shining dazzlingly yet effortlessly today. The scale of “people in their 40s” is off by quite a few digits.
Whether it’s 40-year-old Mr. Hasebe, 55-year-old Masaharu Fukuyama, or even His Excellency Demon Kakka, who will turn 100,062 this year, they’re all still total “rookies.”
