By coincidence, I watched a video of a woman named Shoji reporting to the family of one of the perpetrators involved in the infamous high school girl concrete-mixer murder case from the Showa era. She ended her report by saying, “This is Shoji reporting from the scene.” So I think you were humorously alluding to that when you wrote, “Taro reporting from the scene” and “That’s all from the scene.” I was also shocked that, back in the Showa era, there was no such thing as personal-information protection, and reporters covered the story from outside both the perpetrators’ and the victim’s homes. That would be unthinkable today. It was such a horrific case, and I feel terribly sorry for the victim. I love your sense of humor, your intelligence and extensive knowledge, and your kindness, Taro.
