The person who answered earlier may have sensible instincts in this particular area, but you could also say their judgment is completely broken in other areas. But that’s men—and that’s human nature. That said, I also have an elementary-school-aged daughter, and we still take baths together. Honestly, it’s seriously exhausting. She takes advantage of me and refuses to wash herself, and I’m expected to keep playing and chatting with her endlessly in the bathroom. At some point, I just zone out. How much longer am I supposed to keep doing this? I’d really like to be able to take a relaxing bath by myself soon. I genuinely feel that way. That’s also why I sometimes ask women, “How old were you when you stopped taking baths with your father?” I honestly just want to stop taking baths with my daughter already. Sometimes that’s the intention behind the question.
