Regarding the question below about why you shouldn’t talk about women at a sushi restaurant, in addition to the reasons given by the respondent, could it also be partly because some foods—like shellfish and abalone—have shapes resembling female anatomy? What do you think?
I mean, leaving awabi aside, do shellfish used as sushi toppings really look like female genitalia?? Scallops, whelks, mirugai, tairagai… They don’t look alike at all. I’d say Kintarō’s impression of Atsuko Maeda looks more similar, if anything. I wonder what topping they were looking at to come to that conclusion. On the other hand, if you have that much imagination, you’d probably have more fun arranging slices of pickled ginger in a suggestive way.
That said, seeing the gradient on surf clams does bring back the thought, “A woman who’s had permanent hair removal, but with different skin tones—she must have been quite the jungle back in the day.” But it still doesn’t look like genitals.
So I think the questioner’s answer is incorrect.
As an aside, I had to laugh a little when Mac-san’s link turned out to be “Waku Waku Chinchin 69.” Total coincidence, though.
