Maezawa here, answering as well.
You won’t know the real reason unless you ask the man himself, but I suspect he may have met someone he liked more.
Most men are able to see multiple women, but perhaps he didn’t have the time or capacity to maintain more than one relationship.
It’s also possible that he noticed something he didn’t like when you met for the third time.
By the third meeting, people often start showing more of their true selves. Normally, that would simply become part of the relationship, but perhaps that man didn’t like that side of you.
It may help to think about whether you did anything differently on the third meeting compared with the first two.
Also, I don’t often receive inquiries from women, but when men contact me, I sometimes ask the woman about the reason. (If she doesn’t answer, I don’t press any further, so most of the time I still don’t know the reason.)
Even if the inquiry comes from the woman, it seems possible to ask the man. However, the response may vary depending on the branch, so I can’t guarantee it.
You could try contacting them and saying something like, “I’d like to know the reason so I can use it as a reference in the future. Would you be able to ask him?”

I think he probably wasn’t genuinely your type to begin with.
He may also have felt that continuing to see each other wouldn’t really lead anywhere.
Or, giving him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he gradually realized that your underlying personality wasn’t very pleasant and decided to distance himself.
