That’s not a number that divides evenly. (Haha.)
It comes to about ¥166,000 per month.
Why not simply state a monthly amount? Is there some strategy behind it? I’m also curious whether choosing an intentionally uneven figure serves some purpose.
If no one has ever told you that the amount was either too little or too much, then I think it’s probably a reasonable amount.
When women say they’d like to receive ¥500,000–¥1,000,000 per month, I suspect many of them (ordinary women, at least) haven’t actually done papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) yet and simply mean, “I’d be happy if I could make that much.” In other words, it’s probably more of an ideal than a realistic expectation.
That said, if you have multiple papas (male supporters), it is possible to reach that kind of target in reality.
For a woman who is attractive, has a good personality, and is also making an effort, ¥500,000–¥1,000,000 per month seems possible.
I don’t think anyone has ever conducted a survey on the average allowance women hope to receive. And even if they did, it probably wouldn’t mean much to lump together women handled by staff who simply record their words as-is and women handled by staff who tell them, “Reality isn’t that easy,” and encourage them to reconsider.
Still, it would be interesting if companies set consistent criteria internally and were able to publish annual data on things like changes in women’s desired allowances over the past ten years and how much men have wanted to pay during that period.

First of all, I was amazed by how generous you are! When I explain things during interviews, I tell them it’s not all that easy, scare them a little, and shatter their dreams so they withdraw. That’s how I go about it.
The fact that it’s regardless of the woman’s class is very interesting. When I had just joined, I was constantly thinking, “Why does a woman like this have a papa?!” and “Why does she earn more than I do?”
Of the ordinary women who say they receive 500,000–1,000,000 yen a month, I wonder if about 10% are exaggerating to show off?!
Basically, the club doesn’t keep track of allowances. We don’t really ask, so it’s more like, “If they happen to tell us, that’s lucky.”
You should always feel free to reconsider whether this girl really needs that much support. Don’t let yourself be misled by careless information. I also think it’s very important that you and your partner have compatible attitudes toward money.
