Men who offer a single-digit allowance tend to want long dates, while men who offer a double-digit allowance or more seem satisfied with a typical one- to three-hour date. From the men’s perspective, what accounts for this difference?

It sounds like that just happens to be the case with your papas, so why not say goodbye to the single-digit papa and date the double-digit one instead? It’s great that you found such a double-digit papa. You’re lucky. Normally, you’d expect papas who give a generous allowance to have more demands, though. I’m a single-digit papa, but I keep things to three or four hours at most, hardly ever message except to arrange dates, and don’t walk side by side in public, so I can’t really say.

It may be because you, the person asking, tend to attract that type of man. This is just my personal theory, but if the men are also doing papa-katsu with a strict focus on time, and the schedule is always the same specifically with you, then there are a few possibilities. Some men may find spending a long time together—three hours or more—uncomfortable, or feel that the time you spend together is already enough. They may offer a generous (well-paying) allowance, while prioritizing appointments with other women. On the other hand, some may simply feel bad about keeping you any longer and end the date early. If he only has a small number of PJ partners, it could also be that he is genuinely busy with work and can’t spare much time—and that this is reflected in the allowance. I think you should just ask him. In the end, you won’t know unless you ask. If you don’t want to ask, you might as well interpret it in whatever way is most convenient for you. Depending on how you look at the situation, it can be taken either positively or negatively. I don’t think asking here will really help you with your own papa-katsu. That’s just my personal theory.

I don’t think there’s any difference. It’s probably just your imagination. I always give the same allowance, but depending on the day, we might spend just an hour together and then part ways, or go golfing and spend around 14 hours together. Sometimes we even take an overnight trip and spend about 30 hours together.

Women receiving a single-digit allowance tend to prefer longer dates, while women receiving a double-digit allowance or more tend to be satisfied with a normal-length date—about one to three hours. From the woman’s perspective, what’s the difference? Wouldn’t things naturally work out that way, with fewer mismatches, when both people’s values align? I was “Paper Airplane,” and I normally went on half-day outings for an allowance of 20,000 yen. P.S. From a man’s perspective: > A normal-length date (one to three hours) If you keep it to that, you can date one or two other women on the same day. And you can secure that time with a double-digit allowance to make it feel more exclusive… Keeping the date short also means you’re less likely to say the wrong thing—or run out of things to talk about.
