Do AV actresses ever move up in the world because of their title?

For some reason, AV actresses aren’t very popular at Universe. Even fairly well-known AV actresses often receive very few offers. I imagine they have plenty of fans in the industry, and if they held events, large numbers of fans would probably show up. I remember seeing a TV program about a one-night trip with an AV actress, where an entire busload of fans had signed up. The participation fee seemed outrageously expensive, though—even though they barely got to talk to her... Even AV actresses with that kind of drawing power and earning potential don’t become popular at Universe, which sometimes makes me think dating clubs really are a unique world. It seems like they’d get a huge number of offers if, instead of Universe Club, they created a club called “A Club Where You Can Meet AV Actresses.” It’s a shame that no one has pursued that idea. For some reason, the president said he wanted to create a mature-women’s club, though. So, when you write “AV actress,” it seems like the woman’s class may actually need to be downgraded. When Joe said he had met many actresses who kept their profession hidden, I wondered if they simply didn’t tell people they were AV actresses because they understood these circumstances. There are many kind and genuinely nice women among them, too.

As everyone has mentioned, it probably depends on how famous she is as an AV actress. The classes are set up so that women receive offers. I understand wanting to move up to a higher class, but if a woman is placed in a class that doesn’t match her, she’ll simply receive no offers and end up struggling. This is just my guess, but a Platinum woman who receives few offers probably earns less in allowances than a Gold woman who receives many offers. There are a certain number of men—including myself—who tend not to make offers to women with experience in nightlife work. Unknown AV actresses fall into that category as well, so I don’t think that would be a reason to raise their class. On the other hand, a well-known AV actress may sometimes be placed in a higher class. If she were an AV actress I had especially liked in the past, I’d even consider making an offer after upgrading myself to Black. That said, I’ve never come across an AV actress like that so far…

Many men here prefer women who aren’t professionals—not sex workers or nightlife hostesses—so I don’t think being an AV actress alone would make you more desirable. Even among AV actresses, your appearance matters. I don’t offer arrangements to AV actresses, but I have dated a woman who later appeared in amateur AV after we broke up.

I imagine that even among AV actresses, there’s a wide range, and not everyone necessarily moves up to the top tier. I’m not sure what it’s like now, but when Joe had just joined, there were quite a few “under-the-radar AV actresses.” At one point, I made offers to five such women in a row—all of whom had no information indicating they were AV actresses on their profiles. Not that it means anything; I’m simply sharing this as a fact, so to speak.

Generally speaking, if you ask whether being an AV actress helps elevate your status, I’d say no. Though I do think they deserve to be valued more. They’re professionals, so they get thorough STI tests every month, and many have fewer deal-breakers than ordinary women. Their behind-the-scenes stories and dirty jokes can be genuinely entertaining, too. When arranging a date, you might even get a message like, “It’ll be the day after a shoot, so I may still have rope marks. Is that okay?”—which is oddly amusing in its own way（笑） Men who want a pure and innocent woman tend to look down on AV actresses, but whether an ordinary woman who appears pure and innocent really is that way is another matter. If you truly want someone untouched, your only option is a virgin—but that only lasts until the first time. Can a woman who loses her virginity to a man she doesn’t even like and learns the taste of making money remain “innocent”? In the end, I think AV actresses are looked down on for vague, essentially meaningless reasons. If you’re going to disclose that you’re an AV actress, you might as well reveal your stage name too. That way, people can watch your work, giving them an overwhelming advantage in terms of information about you. If someone becomes interested after seeing your profile photo, they can check your sample videos on FANZA, your social media under your stage name, your everyday expressions and personality, your figure when nude, and even how you react during sex. Then they can make an offer if they want to meet you—and I’m sure many men would. Someone once asked here whether female members should be required to include nude photos in their profiles and got heavily criticized. It would be unreasonable to demand that, but many men probably secretly wish it were possible. You can’t ask that of an ordinary woman, but if she’s already showing it as part of her job, why hide it here? Think about the number of copies her work has sold and the number of followers she has on social media. If she used all those photos and videos, there’s no doubt she’d receive more offers. I was thinking that, as one way to improve myself and move up in class, maybe I should become an AV actress, since I’m not confident in my English skills or academic background. Well, that’s one idea. If becoming an AV actress were to help me move up in class, it would probably only happen if I built up a substantial fan base. First, I’d have to succeed as an AV actress. An AV actress whose name nobody has even heard of is just a used-up woman who’s been repeatedly taken by big-dicked male performers, so it wouldn’t exactly add any prestige. If she moved up to the Black tier at Universe and then made her AV debut—“Current Universe female member makes AV debut”—I’d probably buy the video, check out the content, and then end up making her an offer. I was going to write something amusing, but I’m starting to feel like this question is exactly the kind of topic Taro loves. And with that, I’ll take my leave… Though I’m not sure I’ve wrapped this up very well. What do you think?

Does that title have any effect on changing—or raising—the class you’re initially placed in, rather than helping you move up later? There are probably more men who would shy away from it than men who would prefer it, so I doubt it has that effect. If anything, it may actually work against you. The club itself seems to view it as little more than a novelty or something for fun. If all the women were AV actresses, most of the men would quit. But if they were all flight attendants, they wouldn’t. The title makes a huge difference. It’s the kind of title that men who prefer women with ordinary backgrounds would avoid. So, while it might be fine as an experience to try once, I think it would be a significant negative when you consider that it could make a serious relationship difficult. Apparently, it was considered a positive factor a while back, but based on the results, it now seems to be reflected as a negative factor.

“Class upgrade” refers to cases where, for example, a woman judged to be at a Platinum level during her interview is registered as Black, right? I’m sure class upgrades do happen. However, the class a woman is registered under depends on the individual. Whether she gets upgraded is also determined on a case-by-case basis. So even if you find out whether class upgrades happen, I don’t think that information will be of any use to you. I’d be curious to know what prompted you to ask this.
