I’m considering joining Universe and am a woman.

Teramoto from Universe Club’s Shibuya branch here. As everyone has mentioned, Universe Club currently asks women to self-report their height, weight, and bust size. I’m pretty soft around the edges myself, so if someone like that told me, “I weigh 40 kg!” I’d probably end up asking her directly, “Are you sure?” As Kazu mentioned, some staff members don’t say anything at the time and simply note it in the club comments. Since it absolutely won’t lead to a positive outcome in the end, I’d appreciate it if everyone could be as truthful as possible. We’ve had women falsely report information in the self-report section—not just their height, weight, or bust size—but in most cases, it gets found out after the date, leading to complaints and lower ratings. As for identification, I recently got my own My Number card. It was very easy to apply for, and you can even receive My Number points, so I recommend it ^^ It took several months to be issued, but things should be calmer now. Depending on your area, it may be possible to receive it in about a month.

If you get a My Number Card, you can obtain photo ID free of charge. You can also show it with your My Number hidden. Unless there’s some reason you don’t want to get one… As for height and weight, I think most people simply self-report them these days. However, as Kazu mentioned, if the information is obviously inaccurate, it will leave a bad impression on the staff. In that case, they’ll likely note your actual measurements in your profile, and your offers will probably decrease noticeably.

So, if you have a health insurance card, it seems you can register as long as you’re 20 or older by preparing a resident record, even without a bank card. It also says: > Those aged 18 or 19 cannot register without a photo ID. So if you’re under 20, it looks like you’ll need a photo ID. Apparently, they may have outfits from places like Zara, but I think it would be better to prepare your own and bring it with you. Height and weight are generally self-reported, but if they decide your information is questionable, they may measure you on the scale at the branch. Of course, even if they don’t suspect anything, staff may still ask you to step on the scale. If they discover that you gave false information, the staff’s impression of you will drop dramatically, so I think it’s better to be honest from the start. False information from you could lead to complaints from men and cause trouble for the club and its staff.
