I occasionally see men whose profile class appears and disappears. Does this happen more often with Black-class members? Why don’t they just leave it hidden or displayed?

Both male and female members appear near the top of the other members’ pages whenever they add to or edit their profile or change their photos. If I remember correctly, that was how the Universe members’ site worked. That makes it easier for members of the opposite sex to notice you. Makes sense, right? Maybe that male member wants to stay pinned at the top of the female members’ pages all the time. Switching the class display on and off is much easier than rewriting his profile or replacing his photos. Though in reality, the fact that he’s using tricks like that to stay at the top makes him look pretty cringe, so overdoing it can actually backfire. Especially for male members. I imagine some Black members insist on staying Black for the sake of validation, even though they can’t really afford it. In that sense, the idea that “you see it more often among Black members” might actually be accurate. It’s me.

Me? lol I occasionally receive messages saying I’m lovely, but whenever I check my profile, I notice, “Huh? It’s changed even though I’m sure I had that displayed!” So I update it. It’s a hassle, and I was just thinking about contacting the club to ask them to fix it. It doesn’t mean anything in particular.

I get the feeling that most male members have never even looked at their profile settings. Since I first registered, I’ve only changed my available dating area and displayed age—twice in total. Now that male members’ displayed ages can change as well, I imagine even fewer people will bother checking their profiles. So if you’ve found someone like that, they’re probably a rare case. Don’t worry about the little details—just continue using the site as you normally would.

They probably get tons of messages like “You’re lovely,” so I doubt they bother switching things up every time.
