It’s not common, but I can imagine a bad papa (a male supporter) doing that because he couldn’t stand waiting for a reply on LINE, or for some other reason.
Apparently, some papas even call directly from time to time. Even though it’ll make them disliked and end the relationship. What a stupid thing to do.
I’m not sure how your boyfriend found out, but there are all kinds of papas out there. If you’re going to continue papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), be sure to take steps to protect your privacy and cover your tracks on your phone so you don’t get found out again.

I don’t think there are many.
I assume you usually communicate via LINE or something similar, but even so, I don’t really understand why you gave him your phone number as well.
Also, if you have a boyfriend, you should probably be a bit more careful about managing the risks. If you had told your papa (a male supporter) not to send anything this time, then he was also in the wrong. But ideally, you shouldn’t have given him your phone number in the first place, and as Mac-san suggested, you should disable notifications from appearing on your lock screen.

If you clearly told him, “Please don’t contact me by text message,” a normal man probably wouldn’t do it.
But are you saying she’s someone who, despite being in a relationship, only communicates by email?
If you’re already using LINE, he probably wouldn’t go out of his way to send a text message…

By common sense, if you’ve told him not to send text messages, he probably won’t send one.
There might be exceptions, such as if he doesn’t show up at the agreed time and doesn’t answer your calls, but generally speaking, I think there are few men who would do something they’ve been told not to do.
That said, there are definitely strange people out there. Some men will touch you even after you’ve told them not to before going to a hotel. Those people are probably just self-centered.
Self-centered people don’t listen to what others say, so even if they’ve heard that the transportation allowance for the first date should be paid upfront, they may not be able to follow through.
You can often get a sense of a man’s personality from these little things. If he can’t pay upfront, you could simply decline after dinner and avoid any potential trouble afterward.

That’s pretty unusual.
Why do you think he sent you a text message? Do you usually communicate via LINE or something similar?
If you hadn’t replied and it was something urgent that needed a quick response, I suppose it might be understandable… but without knowing the details, it’s hard to say.
I’m guessing he sent something that could easily give things away.

I think it’s extremely rare.
Even if it’s only a verbal agreement, the relationship is based on the terms you agreed to, so I don’t think ordinary members—men or women—would do anything beyond that.
