I think it’s a good thing to feel that your own face is cute.
But I don’t think you should bring it up yourself when no one has said anything.
If someone tells you that you’re cute, I think a simple “Thank you ♡” is best…
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I’ve never been laughed at dismissively, so I wouldn’t know.

But even if that wasn’t their intention, if you felt like they snickered at you, then maybe that’s how it came across. I’d probably find it unpleasant too and keep a little distance for a while.

I don’t know what led you to say that you think your face is cute, but that’s the part I’m more curious about. I think it’s cute that you have the kind of personality that can say something like that!!

You can’t really know what a complete stranger is thinking, but most people probably wouldn’t dwell on something like a snort of laughter, so I think it’s just your imagination.
