I’ve gotten into falling asleep while groggy from mixing sleeping pills and beer to cope with the stress of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
For now, I like Hoegaarden White.
Please tell me what you recommend, or if there are any beers that go well with sleeping pills.
By the way, I hate The Premium Malt’s Kaoru Ale.
Probably because so many of the middle-aged women at my workplace drink it—the unmarried women in their mid-thirties who are still single, either because they have bad personalities or are socially awkward...

Touring a beer factory is really fun.
The guide will teach you interesting facts about beer and show you things like beer being rapidly packaged on conveyor belts. Depending on the tour, it may end with all-you-can-drink beer from the factory, so you might find a new favorite and enjoy a nice change of pace.

It’s dark beer.
I can’t forget the dark beer I had when I went snowboarding in Nagano.
The other day, there was a German beer festival at a place called Tenshiba in Osaka, and I found some dark beer there. It was delicious.
Sleeping pills don’t have a taste, you know.
Wouldn’t regular sashimi be okay?
Alcohol and medication are an absolute no-go.

I’m not a fan of Premium Malts either.
I prefer Yebisu.
That said, lately I’ve been buying Suntory’s Perfect Beer by the case.
It feels more like actual beer than Kirin’s zero-carb beer.
I love sake even more than beer, so I’ve decided that whenever I’m going to consume carbs, I’ll get them from sake, lol.
Sleeping pills can become habit-forming.
I’ve wondered whether they have some kind of smell.
My ex-wife could sniff them out no matter where I hid them and gobble them down…
If you take too many, you may need to have your stomach pumped, which is awful!

I can’t recommend that either.
You should build a relationship that’s enjoyable and somewhat fulfilling—one that lets you sleep peacefully and take things at a relaxed pace.

Whoa, my favorite—The Premium Malt’s Kaoru Ale—got called out and roasted by name, lol.
So you like white beer–style drinks.
There used to be a place I really liked that served house-brewed beers like that. I used to go there often with a woman, and a few years after we broke up, I happened to be in town on a business trip and looked it up. It was still there. I messaged her on LINE while having a drink at the counter, and she replied right away. Having a solo drinking session while chatting with her was a lot of fun.
I hope you find someone like that too, and that the thaw eventually comes.

You openly post things that are considered taboo and go on insulting other people. Maybe you have some personality issues yourself.
Even if you quit papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), you’ll still be thinking, “Money, money, money!” and won’t be able to sleep.
Maybe the best sleeping pill is piling up your allowance and using it as a pillow?

Wouldn’t that be a beer you drink after quitting or taking a break from papa-katsu, once your stress has gone away?
I’m not sure whether it’s your workplace or something else, but I’m assuming you need sleeping pills because you’re under stress at work.
You should talk to your occupational physician about the stress at work.
Anyway, take care of yourself and stay well.

Lately, I’ve been into Hoppy.
It’s refreshing, and in the Kanto area, it’s popular at the trendy izakaya-style bars, where younger people drink it alongside older guys. Since you mix it with shochu, you can make it as strong or weak as you like.
It’s also low in purines and sugar, so it’s good for your health.
Don’t worry—the person asking the question has a bad personality too, so one of their juniors might tell them they hate Hoegaarden.
Then both Hoegaarden and The Premium Malt’s, despite being delicious, will be unfairly dragged into it.

Alcohol should not be combined with benzodiazepine sleeping pills. It is said to cause memory problems, respiratory depression, next-day drowsiness, dizziness, and other effects.
This happens because alcohol and benzodiazepine sleeping pills are broken down in the same place by the same enzymes. When taken together, the breakdown of both is slowed, intensifying their effects.
