I'm registered as a B member. Is it rude to ask about the allowance when he contacted me about meeting for the second time after we had dinner once? The second meeting was supposed to be dinner as well. He told me I was only interested in money, and I was like, “Huh?” I genuinely don't understand how men in their 60s and older think, lol.

If a man doesn’t tell you upfront, “This is what I’ll give you for dinner,” then you have no choice but to ask, right? I wouldn’t ask if it were already agreed that he’d give me the same amount as the first-meeting evening transportation fee, but some men won’t give you anything unless you ask. If he doesn’t say anything, that’s his fault. And if asking turns him off, then what kind of person to avoid is he? If men don’t want women to ask, they should state the amount first. —Marika That said, if someone won’t go on a date with me unless I ask, I won’t see him again. Or, if the subject of an adult relationship (intimate) comes up that day but we don’t establish the allowance, I still won’t see him again. I’m willing to go on the dinner date once, prepared for the possibility that I might not get paid.

I understand why you’re angry with that man, but I think it’s best not to generalize and bash men in their 60s and older. That said, for women registered as Type B, the second meeting onward is essentially a grace period—a chance to get to know the other person better before moving on to an adult relationship (intimate). Sometimes things progress at the second meeting, while other times it may happen at the third. But if it can’t progress until the fourth meeting or later, I think many men would give up. (It will often come across as a bait-and-switch regarding her type.) In my own experience, I gave the same amount as the transportation allowance for both the second and third meetings, and the women never asked me about the allowance. I believe negotiating, “I’ll meet for ¥10,000 the first time because that’s the club’s rule, but from the second meeting onward, I’d like more even if it’s just dinner,” is basically something a Type A woman would do. If a Type B woman says she wants more than the first-meeting amount from the second meeting onward, even for dinner only (no intimacy), there’s a good chance the man will simply cut things off without saying anything. → She’ll be labeled as misrepresenting her type. That said, I do question men who go out of their way to say how money-oriented they are…

> Is it rude to ask about the allowance? I don’t think it’s rude. It’s perfectly normal to want to know the allowance beforehand rather than meeting without knowing. In business, you generally don’t have someone deliver the product first and only tell them the price afterward. It’s normal to ask how much the deal will be before delivery. > I was told I was being too money-minded. I imagine the amount was higher than what the man had expected. There are all kinds of men, so I’d chalk it up to him simply not being a good match and look for someone new. That said, going forward, it might also be worth thinking about how you can make yourself even more appealing and keep him interested.

I’m answering with a brain that’s always sowing seeds, but only ever grows weeds—Potassium speaking. Are you aware that your own profile contains wording like the following regarding Type B registration? If you haven’t read it, then before criticizing others, maybe you should take a look around yourself first? 【From the second meeting onward】 “If you hit it off on the second date or any date after that, the relationship may develop further.” (Even if the support, looks, personality, and other terms are acceptable, it’s unlikely that the relationship will progress from the very first day. This option is for people who feel uneasy and want to decline on the first day, but may be open to an adult relationship (intimate) from the second meeting onward. If you’re unsure, Type A is recommended.) ↑ That’s a complete excerpt. So if the questioner went on a dinner date under the circumstances below, I’d say the one with weeds growing in their head is probably the questioner. Actually, based on the wording above, you’re only causing trouble for women who are seriously participating as Type B. Honestly, questioner, all I can call this is type fraud. Please stop. ○ The allowance—including for an adult relationship—was discussed sometime before or during the first or second dinner date. ○ On the day of the second dinner date, you said, “An adult relationship isn’t possible this time.” ○ You negotiated for a higher amount for the adult relationship during the second dinner date. (This may be debatable, but from a man’s perspective, there are cases where he decides to meet a second time precisely because an adult relationship is expected. So if you kept in contact after the allowance was discussed on the first meeting, even though you weren’t satisfied with the amount, then you’re basically a money monster! Gon, gon! Gon, gon in the dresser!) Something along those lines, I suppose. That said, your post leaves out a lot of details, so frankly, weren’t you simply looking for people to agree with your “Huh?” reaction? Your way of thinking makes me go, “Ugh…” And if you weren’t actually the Type B that the club describes, then I’m thinking, “Huh?!” about you. Of course, men don’t always follow the rules either, so it would be strange to say that only women have to follow them. But it’s also entirely possible that when women stop following the rules, men stop following them too. Money and adult relationships are especially sensitive topics, which is why clubs establish various rules to prevent disputes. So let’s follow them, shall we? Before acting selfishly, shouldn’t the basic premise be to avoid inconveniencing the people who are participating while following the rules? If you can’t even do that, then don’t date men just for their money—go get a job yourself! Why are you acting so entitled? Do you think being a woman is enough to get you by? “Being in an unfavorable environment” is just an excuse. Plenty of girls are dealing with enormous parental debt and student loans while working hard at regular jobs. For them, studying intensely in college and earning a scholarship that waives their tuition is simply normal. If you couldn’t do that, chances are you were busy doing something else and having fun. Women can earn money on their own more and more these days. Instead of desperately chasing the few tens of thousands of yen right in front of you by using your femininity, think about your lifetime earnings and the possibility of making hundreds of millions of yen in the future. ※I saw the slander you wrote in response to the next question, and your personality was already showing—I actually laughed. I started wondering whether you were the type-fraud woman after all. Before criticizing others, please update your own brain first. Oh, and this is just my personal opinion! My personal opinion!

It’s not rude—you’re either not very good at it, or you simply don’t have the right aptitude. There are girls on B who can get an allowance of 10, pay-per-meeting, for a dinner date. But they never bring up money themselves. It’s not that Taro-san has a C-type personality—the questioner is the one with the C-type personality. I’m not mocking you; that’s genuinely what I think. I found everyone’s answers to this question really interesting, but I wonder if Early-san still hasn’t met one of those B-type girls who reels men in and gets them hooked. They’re like sirens, luring sailors with their beautiful singing voices—except their lower halves are birds or fish. The fundamental difference from Question 14232 is that Siren-chan doesn’t have a human vagina, so all she can do is sing. But if she whispers, “How much is the allowance?” into the ear of a man who’s being drawn in, of course the sailor is going to snap out of it. When pursuing an adult relationship (intimate), you need to work out the terms of the arrangement carefully beforehand—but if Siren-chan’s goal is to sink the ship, you shouldn’t negotiate with her. The man wants to pick her up, while Siren-chan wants to sink him. Wow, I’m getting pretty good at writing in Taro-san’s style now lol. P.S. You should ask the beautiful women Early-san is seeing in adult relationships, “Do you have any papas who continue seeing you for dinner only (no intimacy)?” You might discover, “Oh, so this girl is also a siren.”

I’ve never done B, so I can’t really say, but the last comment—“somehow becoming a pro at C or above…”—caught my attention. I don’t do this thinking I’m a pro. If anything, the fact that you’re hoping for an allowance beyond transportation expenses before you even meet him makes you sound more like a pro.

I thought, “Huh?” too, so you’re fine. Rather than just an old guy, I think it’s fair to say you did well to detect a total creep. I think this case is almost the same as the one I answered here: https://universe-club.jp/help/questions/view/14232 If the man has decent communication skills and handles things smoothly, I believe he can bring up the allowance on the first day and then naturally move into an adult relationship (intimate)—whether that happens on the first date, the second, or later. Discussions like this tend to be completely divided, so I don’t think there’s any point arguing over which side is right. I just hope women will consider whether they’re willing to take the risk, and whether the other person is worth taking that risk for, while making sure they don’t end up being hurt unnecessarily. [Update] Mac-san, there was one in the past! At first, I didn’t recognize her as a siren(笑) Maybe it was a strategy to get me hooked, but she said she hadn’t had an adult relationship with anyone but me. At one point, we were both completely hooked on each other(笑) We first met outside the club, but she later registered with Universe. In hindsight, she was the kind of girl people would understandably call a B-type registration and profile fraud—a type who received a lot of criticism from everyone there. I didn’t see her that way, though. I’m currently seeing someone outside the club on a dinner-only (no intimacy) basis for various reasons, and if we’re talking about sirens, she definitely is one. I haven’t sunk yet, at least not so far (though there may already be a hole in the bottom of my ship(笑)), so I’ll be careful not to go under. And just to be clear, I have nothing against the person who wrote the answer. I basically think they’re a sensible person. I just hate the thought of some idiot papa (a male supporter) reading this, getting the wrong idea, and deceiving and hurting a girl who doesn’t have much experience yet. That’s because girls I’ve been involved with have been hurt that way. If someone has to get hurt, I’d rather it be some old guy than a girl.

I think it’s pretty shitty for a Type B woman to ask for more “allowance” after the second meeting than the transportation money from the first meeting. If you want to make money just by having meals, choose Type A. Sorry for the harsh wording, but it’s easier to understand when I’m being frank. Type B means it’s not allowed at the first meeting, but from the man’s perspective, intimacy is expected from the second meeting onward. Some women drag their feet and remain unsure about it, and some men are willing to put up with that—but I honestly have no idea why that should mean paying more. You’ve already spent a decent amount of time meeting and talking at the first meeting, so can’t you tell whether it’s a no-go or something you’re comfortable with? It just seems like poor judgment to me. Anyway, I wish women like that would be more upfront about what they want. Then we can simply say, “Our terms don’t match,” and move on. We don’t need the annoying back-and-forth of “How about 1.5?” or “I’d appreciate it if you could add just a little more as a gesture” (while implying that whether intimacy happens depends on how much extra you give). This isn’t some matter of strategy. Once you realize you want different things, it’s best to end things quickly. That way, neither of you wastes time. Also, I think people should recognize that there are plenty of people in the world with different values. Attacking people because their values differ, or insisting that your own values are standard and that the world should work a certain way, is pretty stupid, isn’t it? I could understand it if a teenager were saying that, but still. Compared with serious compensated dating arrangements, dating clubs are relatively mild in various ways, so it may be harder to notice, but I think people should really give this some thought. Taro

If you’re a Type B, it’s best not to bring up the allowance first as a woman. Even with Type C, I don’t think there’s any need for the woman to ask about it. And if you ask before meeting for the second time, the man may feel there’s no reason to meet anymore. He’s probably thinking, “Thanks for bringing up the money first. Goodbye.” From a man’s perspective, I think he wants the woman to accept an adult relationship (intimate) first, and then discuss the allowance afterward. Personally, I’d ideally like things to progress naturally into an adult relationship without discussing an allowance at all. Otherwise, I don’t think men and women can easily move into a natural intimate relationship. Hmm? Were you asking about the allowance for the second dinner date? Even so, if she asks about the dinner allowance in advance, I definitely wouldn’t meet her again. Simply put, it means no trust was built at all on the first date. Questioner, at least pretend to be innocent for two or three dates. > There are girls who can get a pay-per-meeting allowance of 100,000 yen for a Type B dinner date. But they never bring up money themselves. “Women shouldn’t bring up money themselves.” That’s the key point when it comes to getting a man emotionally invested. There are plenty of opportunities as well as the risks Early-san mentioned. And attractive women won’t answer even if you ask them. Even without answering, I think they already understand this well and have learned it through life experience beyond papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). > Early-san (You must be a wonderful person. That’s why women probably say all sorts of things to catch your attention...) I don’t think you need to take what women who receive money say at face value. Even when they shed tears and tell a tragic story, how much of it is actually true...? Since no one else can know whether the words of women receiving money are true, I don’t think you need to rely on them too much here. (On the other hand, what someone who doesn’t receive money says—and what a papa (a male supporter) looks like from a woman’s perspective—probably includes a sense of reality, so I think those perspectives can be useful.)

That’s not rude at all. You’re in the right, and that old man’s brain is rotten. I’ve answered this countless times, but the one—and only—advantage and weapon that us damn old men (myself included) have is: “Spending money elegantly.” In other words, having financial leeway. That’s our only chance. This is a relationship club where the arrangement is based on an allowance, so I genuinely don’t understand what’s wrong with talking about money, or why it’s wrong for a woman to ask for money. The damn old men who accuse women of being obsessed with money are a thousand trillion times more money-obsessed than you are. Are they idiots? Seriously. For women, their bodies are precious—second only to their lives. They’re offering something that important, yet these damn old men still try to hold back on the money. Men like that should go join some weird cult immediately. ■Hidden The question one step further down will probably be hidden too, so I’ll paste it here. ↓↓↓ When I meet a Type B woman, my guiding principle is to have her initiate an adult relationship (intimate) on the first date. In fact, I’ve had countless adult dates with Type B women on the very first day, and there have even been several times when we went straight to a room from the meeting spot without having dinner. This isn’t me bragging. It’s because: ◎I want to secure the win before we even meet. I’m constantly preparing. I perfect my appearance and scent, put on a sort of aura, and aim to get her to agree to an adult relationship the moment we meet—without even needing conversation or a discussion of the terms. That’s how thoroughly I approach being a papa (a male supporter) as a professional. I want to overwhelm her. It’s not that I’m looking for a romantic relationship, nor is it that I desperately need to have sex. I’m always competing against myself. So, what I’d like to ask—or recommend to—the questioner is this: ◎I want you to make a man think, the moment he sees you, “I absolutely have to date this woman, no matter what, so I need to bring up the allowance first.” I want you to perfect yourself to that extent, and then bite back at Taro. If you did that, your argument would be completely convincing. If you’re thinking in terms of professional versus amateur or innocent type, I want you to become a professional. Not a professional at selling your body, but someone with the professional mindset to perfect herself as a woman. I want you to develop such a strong sense of professionalism that, after meeting the money-obsessed old man this time, you can reflect and think, “I still have a long way to go,” simply because you didn’t make him mention the allowance first. I want women to think: “This man might not ask me out a second time. If I don’t have an adult date today, I feel like he’ll cut me loose.” That’s why I work out and run every day, get cosmetic procedures and hair removal, research hairstyles and fashion, and even pay attention to my toenails. I have absolute confidence in my conversation skills, but whenever I’ve had to win a woman over through conversation, I reflect on it on the train ride home. “She didn’t say yes the moment we met. I lost today.” I clean every corner of my house before I leave. Women never come over, but I don’t want to leave even the slightest opening. I hope at least some of this resonates with you. I want you to become such a breathtakingly wonderful woman that not only these damn old men, but even a stylish, attractive older man, will want to talk about the allowance the moment he meets you. ↑↑↑
