It varies from person to person, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. And it’s not a matter of “more is better” or “fewer is bad,” so I’m not sure what you’d really gain by asking…
That said, based on what I’ve heard and seen on Twitter and elsewhere, there are apparently some women who manage to go on as many as five dates in a single day. I can’t vouch for whether that’s true, though.

Even if you’re good at making time, you can’t go on dates while you’re at work, and the same goes for students.
So I think it depends on how much free time you had to begin with.
It also depends on your approach to papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). Do you want to meet as often as possible and earn as much as you can? Or would you be satisfied with just one person if you found someone you really liked? Maybe you feel that having around three supporters is ideal.
I think it varies depending on that as well.

It depends on the person.
Not everyone wants to pack their schedule with papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) dates. And the amount of free time they have will also vary depending on whether they’re a student, a full-time employee, or working part-time.
