How popular would a single doctor in his late 30s from a highly prestigious private university be? I often go to group dates with entertainers and career women, so I’m used to interacting with women at that level.

I’m Saito♪, a column writer. From a woman’s perspective, I think he sounds wonderful. That said, I wonder if some women might be put off by the fact that he’s single. They might think, “I’d hate for him to fall seriously in love with me…” Also, in the dating club world, people have been saying for the past 10 or 20 years that “doctors turn into perverts once they get into the room.” Whenever we hold papa-katsu roundtables and start talking about unusual people, most of the stories come from doctors. (Though that may be because of a few particularly extreme members…) After reading “The Harrowing Papa-Katsu Gentleman, Part 2,” I found myself nodding along. I’m not prejudiced at all. I think doctors are generally popular, too. This may be strange advice, but if you become friends with four or five men in the same line of work who are also doing papa-katsu, I think you’ll understand what I mean. P.S. I’m only talking about some doctors here. The doctors doing papa-katsu around me are very gentlemanly and normal… I think!

Maezawa here. With dating clubs, dates are arranged based on offers from men, so how popular you are seems to depend less on your specs and more on things like what the date is like when you meet a woman, how gentlemanly you are toward her, and the amount of the allowance(笑). I do feel a little uneasy when I hear someone say, “I’m used to handling women,” but if women have genuinely looked up to you in the past, I think you’ll be popular at a dating club too.
