I’m a woman who just registered.

This content is machine-translated.
I received seven offers almost immediately after my profile was sent out. I was prepared for the possibility that I might not get any offers, so I’m very grateful. My question is about the men’s ratings (stars). I got a little flustered and accepted all the offers right away, but later I noticed the ratings. Everyone else has five stars, but one person has only three, which makes me worry that he might be a bit strange. Is a three-star rating really something I need to be concerned about? Also, if the club’s special notes say something like, “It’s okay to decline if he asks you to leave the club,” does that mean he has that kind of desire?

Teramoto from Universe Club’s Customer Success Department here as well. As others have mentioned, everyone starts out with a rating of three stars, so they haven’t necessarily received either positive or negative feedback yet. This is just my personal opinion and may not be all that helpful, but even when members have a fairly good experience, not many—whether men or women—take the time to leave feedback. On the other hand, when someone has a negative experience, people tend to want to vent, so feedback is more likely to be posted. So, if someone has three stars and hasn’t received any negative reviews, it’s probably safe to assume that meeting them shouldn’t be a problem. Of course, even men with one- or two-star ratings may simply not have been a good match with the other person and received a lower rating as a result. They could still be a great match for you, so please check their basic profile and the profile they’ve set up before making your decision!

I’ll probably remain at a 3. That’s because I’ve been seeing someone long-term since before the rating system was introduced, so I haven’t made an offer, and the person I recently made an offer to doesn’t seem to have left any feedback. I’m not sure whether that makes me good or not, though(笑) If there are no negative ratings, I think it would be better to accept the rating, since there may be papas who were in long-term arrangements that have just ended.

Accept all the offers, and if you don’t like someone, simply decline to continue seeing them. I think that’s the best approach. As everyone else has said, the first month is crucial when it comes to offers. Try to find someone you can see yourself continuing with, because the offers will gradually start to dry up. Even if you have good reviews from the club, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll click with the person asking the question. I’m guessing his comment reflects feedback from other women he’s seen in the past. He probably doesn’t want to be in a multiple arrangement. If you don’t feel you can handle the situation well, just decline to continue.

Offers tend to come in most frequently when you’ve just registered, so at this stage, it’s probably best not to be too selective. Also, when it comes to men who haven’t gone on many dates since last November, some of them may still be perfectly good even with a three-star rating. That’s because the rating system was introduced around November last year. The current ratings are based largely on how many dates someone has had, so I wouldn’t worry about them too much. Conversely, even a five-star man may well turn out to be less impressive than you expected. As for the note saying, “If you’re told to leave the club…”—that’s basically what’s known as “I want to be your only papa.” If he likes you, he’ll ask you to date only him. The club has probably warned him about it, so he may have improved, but… This kind of situation can be quite a hassle, so if you have multiple offers, I also think it would be best to turn this one down.

I was prepared for the possibility that no offers would come, so I’m very grateful. ☆It’s only at the beginning that you’ll receive lots of offers. You’re still in your 20s, so you may continue to receive offers about once a month, but please value each individual connection. It’s possible that the offers may only come frequently at first. My question is about the men’s ratings (stars). ☆Conversely, someone with five stars may simply be a person who makes lots of offers, while someone with three stars may be making an offer for the first time in a while. Ratings basically start at three stars, so the people to be cautious about are those with one star. Also, if the club’s special notes say something like, “If he asks you to leave the club, it’s okay to refuse,” does that mean he has that kind of intention? ☆There are men who ask you to leave the club. Some may even say, “We’re a good match, so we don’t need an allowance.” Just turn them down gently. For now, why not meet and get to know everyone? You can’t really tell after meeting someone just once. That said, if you meet a man once and feel that he’s not right for you, you don’t have to exchange LINE contacts. If he pressures you to exchange contacts, just give him a throwaway email address and block him afterward.

As long as it’s not a one- or two-star rating, I don’t think there’s any major problem. Star ratings can be useful in some ways, but not so useful in others… If you were a woman, you’d probably find that men are divided between those who prefer a three-star rating and those who prefer five stars. I think more men would say three stars is better, though. So maybe it’s pretty much the same for men too. It’s actually mentioned in the special notes…

I recommend meeting everyone and treating it as a learning experience. If you know what to expect beforehand, you can prepare accordingly. So if someone tells you they want you to quit the club, just laugh to yourself and think, “I knew it!”♪ You learn to recognize good papas by meeting bad ones, and you learn to spot bad papas by meeting good ones. Everything is a learning experience, so try meeting each person at least once. It’ll be educational, and Universe will make money too—a win-win^^
