Women rarely call it “dinner only,” though(笑)
That said, there are women who receive an allowance just for having meals together.
However, the women who succeed with that usually have several things going for them: they’re attractive, they happen to be lucky enough to meet men who think it’s normal to pay an allowance for dinner only, and they have the skills to make their partner want to see them again and again.
So it feels like something that’s only possible when all those factors line up—maybe for about one in a thousand women.
That said, if there are a million women, that still means there are a thousand of them. When you hear “a thousand,” it does sound like quite a lot.

I imagine a lot of them are just trying to get people to buy information products under false pretenses, direct them to their blogs to view ads, or show off because they simply want more followers.
If they’re genuinely doing well, they probably keep quiet because they don’t want others copying their know-how.

I don’t think you should take everything people say on Twitter at face value.
A lot of them exaggerate to make themselves look better. If you believe everything you hear, you may end up regretting it. I’m not saying you should doubt absolutely everything, but…
Try calculating the time spent with each man, travel time, and how many men you’d have to see in a day.
You’ll probably find that having a regular job is a safer and easier way to make money.

That’s the A type, then. It might work well while you’re in college.
But once you start working, would dinner-only really be enough to live on unless you had an exceptionally generous supporter…?
I guess it ultimately depends on your looks, figure, and personality, right?

I’m not on Twitter, so I have no idea how much people are earning from dinner-only arrangements…
I’m not sure how helpful this will be, but I’ve had two supporters who gave me an allowance without an adult relationship. One paid 30,000 yen for dinner and 50,000 yen for a half-day date. He was a Ferrari-driving papa outside of a club.
The other arrangement is still ongoing, so I’d rather not disclose the allowance.
Both men were married. They wanted to have meals and go on dates with women, but felt guilty about adult relationships, so they were looking for someone who would simply accompany them for meals.
So I think you can find someone if you look, but I’m not sure whether you can make a lot of money that way.

I don’t think it’s impossible, but most of the time, they’re probably just exaggerating.
There are all kinds of people in the world, so I’m sure there are some papas who will give you 100,000 yen just for dinner.
I’m occasionally asked about this by women making their first offer, and I also ended up having an animated conversation about it with a woman I recently joined for a member simulation at Universe Lounge.
People who make those claims on social media or to acquaintances are usually either:
- Making a little extra money by waiting for someone to ask them for an introduction to a dating club, then referring women who contact them via DM to Frame; or
- Lying about being a woman who gets a large amount of cash just for dinner in order to satisfy their desire for attention.
It’s probably one of those—or both(笑)
I think there are more people who get pleasure from deceiving others than there are papas who give 100,000 yen for dinner only.

Girls who are genuinely making money from dinner-only arrangements don’t use Twitter or anything like that, so “dinner-only sugar babies on Twitter are fake.”
Women who are truly popular—like top-tier “aces”—don’t even use Instagram.

By simple calculation: 2 hours a day × 4 people = ¥60,000–¥80,000, and × 30 days = ¥1.8–¥2.4 million.
If you have a papa (a male supporter) who pays ¥400,000 per meeting, then three of them would bring in ¥1.2 million.
On paper, anything is possible. But it’s only possible if you’re suited to that kind of arrangement.
Once you sleep with someone, it’s over—but if you turn that to your advantage…
That said, women like that often attract sponsors generous enough to pay that much even without doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
Yesterday, I went out for Chinese food with a girl I used to see around 300 times a year. She’s married now, and since I know her husband is aware that we still meet, I gave her a few thousand yen as spending money. When we were meeting 300 times a year, I was giving her roughly ¥5–6 million in allowance annually. I also often treated her to meals, and she would frequently say, “Let’s do papa-katsu”—meaning dinner only (no intimacy). But I remember thinking she was the kind of girl who could never actually do papa-katsu. Looking back, though, it was almost exactly the same thing…
Come to think of it, I don’t think we ever even kissed.
Still, having a lifelong partner with whom you can understand each other without words is a wonderful thing.
