Women in demanding career-track jobs with relocations can’t really do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), right? Are most participants in departments where they can leave on time without being transferred, or in general-track jobs with no relocations?

If you want to register as a generalist but don’t know how, I think you can simply ask, “What should I do?” But I’m wondering what prompted this question.

I’ve dated women in general-track positions both in the past and currently, but in terms of numbers, I’d say women in those roles are definitely a small minority among the members.

I’m seeing a woman whose workday ends at 11 p.m. She has a demanding corporate job. I pick her up near her workplace, we go to a hotel, and then I either drive her home or have her take a taxi back. In other words, if she’s worth it, her job and how busy she is don’t matter.

I’ve dated women in professional careers before, and I’m seeing one now as well. I also work full-time, but I think it comes down to how you make time and whether you choose to spend that time on papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). So I don’t think being a career-driven woman is relevant. The way you phrased your question makes it sound as though career women are somehow superior. Even if that wasn’t what you meant, it could easily come across that way, and that’s more likely to work against you.

The occupations I’ve heard men mention for women doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) include: Students, housewives, spa workers, idols, nail technicians, gravure models, fashion models, flight attendants, nurses, chefs, dietitians, instructors, and office workers. That said, I don’t know whether many of the office workers are in general administrative positions. Regardless of the job, if it’s demanding and you can’t leave on time, it might be difficult since you wouldn’t be able to go on dates during the day or at night.

> A career-driven woman in a general-track position who may be transferred for work can’t really do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), right? That’s not necessarily true. It wouldn’t be surprising for someone in a general-track position to do it.

I’m not sure whether anyone like that is here, but there are certainly people who are good at managing their time. No matter how busy they are, some people still make time to enjoy their private lives, so I feel it should be possible to use some of that time for papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
