When I was young, my grandfather told me, “You should be grateful to your parents because straight teeth make you look well brought up.”
At the time, I just thought, “Huh, I guess so,” but orthodontic treatment is very expensive and can be painful, so I am grateful to my parents.
If it’s something you’re concerned about, I think it would be perfectly fine to get them straightened even now.

When a wealthy man has crooked teeth, I can’t help thinking, “You’re spending your money on the wrong things.”
Being careless about your teeth → careless about dental and oral hygiene → bad breath… That’s the impression I get.
It gives me a different impression when it’s a young woman, but personally, I’m not fond of snaggletooth.
This is an anonymous Q&A box, so I answer honestly like this—but of course, I wouldn’t normally say something like this to someone’s face.

Personally, I do pay attention to a woman’s teeth.
It’s not that I dislike crooked teeth themselves; it’s just that, in my experience, both men and women with misaligned teeth tend to have stronger bad breath.
