There’s definitely demand for women in their 40s, especially among older gentlemen who aren’t into younger girls.
I don’t think a selfie would be better than the profile photos taken through the club, so I wouldn’t recommend using one either.

It might be better to avoid using selfies.
When it comes to photos, younger women will naturally have the advantage. What matters is whether the other person feels like meeting you.
I think giving off an overly eager impression can be quite risky.
