I’m leaning toward withdrawing from the audition. I’ll think it over for the rest of today and contact them so I won’t regret it.
The reason is that I’m not very smart, and I don’t want to cause trouble for the other candidates or the people involved in the lessons.
I was also aware that it would be better for me to distance myself from my family.
I grew up being told by my mother, “You can’t do anything anyway.”
But my current job pays very little by the hour, so I’m going to move out, even if it means working as a hostess or doing whatever else I can.
My brother has already fallen apart.

Welcome back! I think you should go ahead and audition if you want to… You say you’re not very smart, but I think even that can become part of your individuality (*^^*)
Maybe you’ve simply been conditioned to believe you’re not smart because your mother always told you that you couldn’t do anything.
I believe your possibilities are endless—it all depends on you. For now, try living on your own and giving yourself lots of love♪

Why did you give up?
And you keep bringing up your family—what does that have to do with anything? Why do you think it’s relevant? Why?
Come to think of it, a few months ago someone was talking about whether or not to audition. Are you perhaps that person?
If so, if you withdrew this time because you thought you weren’t smart enough, you should never audition again. The judges will think, “If you’re going to quit halfway through, don’t audition in the first place. You’re causing trouble.”
Also, being a hostess is something for someone who is intelligent, beautiful, and talented, so I don’t think you’ll pass. Do you honestly have confidence that you can?
Wouldn’t working long hours at a convenience store actually pay better?
Once you learn to use a computer, you can also work in an office. PCR testing jobs pay well these days, too. Get a regular job, even if it’s part-time.
Just because your parents called you unintelligent doesn’t mean you are. Excuse me, but your parents are the ones who lack intelligence.
Stop making assumptions. Success comes from putting in the effort, so try to adopt that mindset.

I don’t know what kind of audition it is, so I can’t really offer any specific advice…
But I don’t think taking the audition and your family situation are necessarily related.
If this is something you truly want to do—something you’d want to see through no matter what—I don’t think you should give up on the audition. I feel you’d regret it more if you gave up before even trying.
If you take the audition and don’t get chosen, you can tell yourself that you simply weren’t good enough at the time. That seems better than regretting that you couldn’t even take the audition because of your family.
You only live once, so I think you’ll be happier if you enjoy life.
