Very occasionally, some give you a sense of her personality or capture a natural smile, which can leave a good impression. But I feel that many are either unappealing because their faces are distorted by wide-angle lenses or edited to give them unnaturally huge eyes, or simply meaningless photos of food. Just uploading photos like that can seem to reveal the person’s values and may actually leave a worse impression.
I think the photographers at Universe do a great job, using lenses with focal lengths suited to portraits to capture each woman’s best expressions. They also seem to try to show a realistic appearance without hiding things like body shape too much. Women should be aware that unless they upload genuinely good photos, it can end up having the opposite effect.

I asked on the Q&A site what kind of photos worked best and used the suggestions as a reference!
But I still ended up posting both smiling photos and fairly natural shots taken by my family while we were traveling—basically, photos where I look cute too (* 'ᵕ' )☆

As Mac says, the profile is useful for getting a sense of someone’s personality. I take a really close look at it, just like I do with the videos, before deciding whether to send an offer—I don’t want to waste one. It’s very important information.
I actually wish the female members would stop looking at this and just post as they are, following their instincts（笑）
When someone heavily edits their photos or uploads pictures that have nothing to do with them, you can imagine they might be a little unusual. It’s a valuable source of information.
I also agree that it’s a good thing when the profile photos are taken by the club staff rather than by a professional photographer. I appreciate that they aren’t overly enhanced. I hope they’ll continue to leave the profile photos unedited in the future.

Just enjoy watching women’s feelings and actions.
From a woman’s perspective, men’s behavior makes no sense, and from a man’s perspective, women’s behavior makes no sense. That mutual mystery is what connects and attracts them—it shows that men and women are different creatures.

I came from an app, so I’ve definitely learned a lot about heavily edited photos（笑）. As you said, I often feel that they end up having the opposite effect.
Of course, there are bound to be some people who don’t photograph well or look different in person, but so far I haven’t met anyone whose appearance differed from their videos. That said, I feel like videos on apps were sometimes edited too.
Since edited photos can also work against you, while some people use private photos very effectively, I think they can serve as both a point of reference and a way to make a good impression.
