Question

Do you work in construction?? All my construction-industry papas (male supporters) are swamped with work this week. Then, almost all of them message me saying they’ll have more free time starting next week or the week after. The papas in finance and IT seem to have plenty of free time. Meanwhile, my low-paying papa who works a regular salaried job always seems busy, yet he doesn’t seem fulfilled, which is kind of sad. His marriage is apparently happy—he has a wife and children, they occasionally travel, and although it seems to be a sexless marriage, he always looks bored, tired, and gloomy. Even when they’re just as busy, my generous (well-paying) papas, such as wealthy people and business owners, seem oddly happy and fulfilled despite being busy, saying things like, “I don’t want to work anymore!” What makes the difference?

Being a business owner can be incredibly lonely and stressful. In the end, everything falls on you, so knowing that it’s 100% up to you makes a huge difference. But that also means that if you can’t solve a problem yourself, the stress just keeps building endlessly. I imagine that must be incredibly hard. I think the difference comes down to whether you find everything—including the stress—enjoyable or painful.

I haven’t gone back. I’m semi-retired at the moment ^^; I’m actually a serious salaryman, so I work hard for myself, my team, and my customers, haha. I’ve moved as well, and these days I’d rather spend my days off building storage units myself or taking my kids to check out new places to have fun nearby.
