I found it exhausting to even open messages from a papa who sent me suggestive comments every day. But when I reply with a question and then don’t hear anything for two to four weeks, I start worrying that he’s cut me off.
I’d appreciate it if you could tell me how often you typically exchange messages, so I can use it as a reference.
Also, this is completely unrelated, but I read every issue of your newsletter from start to finish, so if possible, I’d love for you to keep sending it at about the current frequency!
In my case, I match my papa’s pace. I feel like we’ve been in touch more often as we’ve gotten closer. These days, it’s almost every day.
My generous (well-paying) papa calls me every day and sends several messages, so I always reply right away and make sure to answer his calls. I do like my papa, but I’m also the kind of person who feels uncomfortable ignoring a call—I even want to pick up work calls within a split second.
Come to think of it, there was someone who used to send me suggestive messages. He was usually a gentleman, but I just couldn’t handle those messages, so I eventually stopped replying to him.

It varies from person to person, and I’m not sure whether I’m matching their pace or they’re matching mine.
With the girl I’m seeing now, we exchange a few messages a day, sometimes just one exchange a day, or a few exchanges a week.

The last time I messaged my papa (a male supporter) was in early February, but yesterday I sent him a photo saying, “The cherry blossoms are in full bloom and so beautiful.”
I don’t message anyone every day, but with the people I see weekly, we usually text a few days beforehand to arrange where to meet.
For those I see at a relaxed pace of about once a month, I occasionally send a little update about what I’ve been up to—like the cherry blossoms yesterday.

Everyone has their own preferences, so there’s no one right answer. The ideal frequency for emails or LINE messages probably depends on how well you click, too. I only message when I have something to discuss.
