That’s right. So if you receive several offers, you’ll probably get a rough idea of what your class is. But it’s only a rough idea. For example, suppose you receive three offers, all from Platinum men. You might think that means you’re Platinum, but you could actually be Gold—or even Standard. So you can’t know for certain. That means it doesn’t necessarily become a major issue, since you still won’t know your exact class. Also, there’s a big difference between gradually getting a sense of it only after receiving offers and being told your class outright from the beginning. If you’re told from the start, you might think, “Why? I should be in a higher class,” or, “If I don’t receive any offers, people will assume it’s because of my class.” But if you only start to get a sense of it after receiving offers, I feel the emotional impact is quite different.
