The other day, my papa invited me to a hotel, but told me to leave after two hours. When I asked if something was happening, he said his daughter would be coming back then. It seems he called me over during a trip with his daughter, but I don’t know if he really wanted to go that far just to see me. When it was time for me to leave and I opened the door, someone who appeared to be his daughter happened to be coming back. Do married people who do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) really think it’s okay if their children find out? I felt terribly sorry for his daughter, who was essentially being forced out.

Do younger women ever come to hotels? As everyone has said, she may have been seeing another partner. In situations like that, I don’t say anything unnecessary to the woman—just give her a nod. After that, I feel it’s best to leave it to the man to handle however he sees fit.

It’s probably a double-header.

I don’t think it’s something he wants badly enough to go that far, so like everyone else is saying, I feel like he probably has another dating partner.

So you ran into his daughter at the door? I’m curious about what was said… Maybe she wasn’t his daughter at all, but another woman he’s seeing. Would he really have you leave at a time when you might run into his daughter? I wouldn’t want to meet her, so if I heard she was coming home, I’d leave early… I can’t imagine him setting things up so you’d run into his daughter. It doesn’t seem like the kind of relationship he could tell his family about. Strange… Even if she was his daughter, it’s not necessarily that you were kicked out—she might have gone out and simply come home while you were there. Personally, I feel sorrier for you, the person who’s only called over during those brief gaps, than for the daughter you think was the reason you were asked to leave.
